— Daisy Ames of Studio Ames
Studio Ames’s contribution to the Future of Space is located at the intersection of housing
and inclusivity. We have abstracted the domestic spaces of dwellings from around the
world and imagined how we might all live together in the future – in one plan. The dwellin units depicted are inspired by the following: Musgum tribe in Cameroon, Chad and Nigeria;
Movahedi House in Kerman, Iran; Moriyama House, Tokyo, Japan; Researcher’s tent,
South Pole, Antarctica; 90 Square Meter Challenge Houses, Melbourne, Australia;
Monastery dwellings in Ronchamp, France; and Studio Ames’ design for a mass timber-
micro unit housing project in New York City.
