Before And After the Open Streets Project in New York City
— Noah Bassman

OpenStreets was a program developed by the City of New York to give space for pedestrians to move at a safe distance from each other during the Covid 19 Crisis. It developed a Framework for the prioritization of pedestrian space over space for cars, something which isn’t present in American cities. The program ran for about a week before it was discontinued.
